Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responds to Clifton shooting

A man showed up to the Clifton Maverick gas station covered in blood, that's when an employee called 911. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at the Clifton Maverick gas station in Grand Junction, Colorado, around 4:40 p.m. on Sunday. The victim reported that another man assaulted him and then shot him in the arm before fleeing. No suspect has been found yet. The investigation is ongoing.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a man shot in the arm Sunday afternoon at the Clifton Maverick on 3249 F Road.

At around 4:40 p.m. a man showed up to the Clifton gas station covered in blood. Shortly after an employee of the Clifton Maverick called 911.

When deputies arrived the victim said another man walked up to his car, assaulted him and then shot him in the arm and ran away.

According to the MCSO the shooting took place at 33 Road and the railroad crossing.

As of now no suspect has been found and the investigation is still ongoing.
