MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who allegedly tried to sexually assault a 12-year-old Mesa girl.

It happened on Feb. 3 near Sossaman Road and University Drive around 9 p.m. Police said he entered an apartment in the area and threatened the girl with a knife.

He then tried to sexually assault the girl, police say.

Silent Witness released a composite sketch on Wedesday of the suspect and is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
