$100K grant expands student-veteran education program across Arizona - Scottsdale Independent

Seven Arizona schools have joined a program that connects students with military veterans to preserve their stories and bring history to life, thanks in part to a $100,000 contribution from the Timothy T. Day Foundation that will help expand the program and reduce participation costs. A $100,000 contribution from the Timothy T. Day Foundation will aid an Arizona nonprofit, Imprints of Honor, which operates a program connecting students with military veterans. The program allows students to preserve firsthand accounts of history while developing writing, communication and leadership skills. The funding will help cover participation costs, recruit additional schools and expand outreach to military veterans, five new chapters include Fountain Hills High School, Heritage Academy in Mesa, Rancho Solano Preparatory School and Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, and Westar Elementary School in Goodyear. Imprints Of Honor operates a 33 school and college chapter in Phoenix, with seven new chapters established for the 2026-27 school year. The contribution will support efforts to increase participation among veterans, who are underrepresented in the program.
