Friends of PACC launch veterinary care fund

Friends of Pima Animal Care Center is making a commitment to address affordable veterinary access for Southern Arizona. Friends of Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) has launched a Veterinary Care Legacy Fund with $3.1 million in seed funding from an anonymous donor. The Fund will operate like an endowment and use annual investment earning to fund some PACC veterinary programs. Friends of PACC argue that limited access to affordable vet care is a contributing factor to overcrowding at PACC and that one-third of families surrender pets to PACC cite this as a factor. They hope this new fund will help address these issues.
