Share a meal with spirits at these 9 haunted restaurants and bars in Phoenix
When eating at these spooky spots, diners may be joined by some unexpected guests. The haunted restaurants and bars in Phoenix have a reputation for being haunted by ghosts, with some restaurants serving food and drinks to the public. These restaurants are located near Four Peaks Brewing Co. and The Stockyards Steakhouse, where the ghost of Victor Vogel, a creamery manager who died at the bottom of a cottage cheese vat, and Harry Williams, a young boy who was electrocuted when climbing a power line in 1909, remain in a maintenance room in the far recesses of the building. Four Peaks Brewery Co. hosts haunted brewery tours to give a deeper look at the history of the haunted building. The restaurant and lounge at The Stockyard Steak House features some of the best beef in town, served by Helen Tovrea, wife of then-owner Philip Tovorea, whose spirit reportedly lives in the Rose Banquet Room. The building's original owners, William and Mary Moeur, are said to still roam about after closing. The former residence-turned-restaurant was built for Helen Anderson, widow of insurance house organizer Carl Anderson, whose ghost remains at the home where she passed away when she died.
