Mahnah Club in Mesa marks over seven decades of helping others
For over seven decades, members of the Mahnah Club in Mesa have raised money, volunteered their time and helped establish organizations that serve some of the East Valley’s most vulnerable The Mahnah Club in Mesa, Arizona, has been a leading women of the Hopi word for over seven decades, raising money, volunteering, and establishing charitable programs for children and families in crisis. The club's three main charities are Child Crisis Arizona, A New Leaf and Corbin's Legacy. The group's mission began with a conviction that children removed from dangerous homes should not have to have to travel to Phoenix for a safe place to stay, leading to the creation of the Child Crisis Center of the East Valley. The Mahnah club has distributed over $500,000 in scholarships over the past four years. The public anniversary luncheon will be held at Las Sendas Golf Club on Nov. 7 at 11 a.m.
